Spent all weekendlong in search of elbow and knee pads for hip hop class. The best one I found is the McDavid HexPad, which comes in five different sizes and can be used as either knee or elbow pads. I got two pairs. At lunch, I’m going to get me some fingerless cycle gloves too. I know—dancing hip hop sounds hazardous, doesn’t it? And you thought those gloves and pads the hip hop crews wore were just for show.
I didn’t practice all this week though! Yikes! I bet Ms. Represent will be able to tell too. It’s because I hadn’t bought the pads yet and practicing without pads is PAIN! When I get home tonight I might break out “Shawty Get Loose” after dinner and walk through the moves, WITH the pads.
And finally, check this out, all the way from Seoul, Korea! It’s the merging of the extremes of the dance world and everything about dance I love. Is there some way I can make the trip to NYC to see this show without bankrupting me? Maybe they’ll tour!
