I printed the first half of ROGUE last night. Holy shit, the thing is over 400 pages long! That’s almost one ream of copy paper! I started re-reading it so I can write a synopsis, and I must say, I still really, really like it. Of course I got the urge to take a red pen and start editing the thing, top to bottom, even though it’s been polished already. Just goes to show you can never stop improving a manuscript. I wrote this story two years ago back when I was a superduper newbie (I’m just a super newbie now), plus being away from the manuscript really gave me a fresh perspective. Can’t wait to dive into it again.
I wrote a measly six pages for Project Thriller last night instead of the ten I wanted. My heroine is actually shaping up. She’s of mixed Persian/European descent, kind of like the upper class of Iran during the Shah’s reign. Her face is still a little vague to me but I do know she’s very slight, thin to the point of boyish (i.e., she’s pretty flat-chested), with large eyes and really long black hair. Things that a guy would notice right off the bat. Or at least the hero noticed right off the bat.
Tonight is the decision finale episode of SYTYCD. While I’m sad the show is over, I’m happy that Wednesdays won’t be a writing waste for me again. But then there’s Project Runway…sigh…
GOAL FOR TONIGHT: 10 pages. I’m subbing a weight-training class tonight. That, plus watching SYTYCD, will make tonight a non-productive writing day. Hey, at least I’m realistic, right?

Congratulations to Joshua and all the other dancers on SYTYCD this season!

Hey Chelsea, thanks for stopping by to visit. I deleted the rest of your commentary for its blatant advertising but kept the first sentence because I too wish to offer my congratulations to Joshua. Glad to know I’ve met a fellow SYTYCD fan!
